FURNACE

Furnaces work by using electricity, gas, or heating oil to heat your home. Once it’s warmed, it’s sent through the heating system’s ductwork and into your home. Any byproducts created in the process are forced outside. Like furnaces, boilers generate only heat. They pump hot water through a series of pipes into radiators placed strategically throughout a home.

AIR CONDITIONING

Air conditioning systems remove hot, humid air from your home. Using electricity, they pass this warm, moisture-filled air through coils filled with refrigerant, lowering its temperature. It’s then circulated back into your home in a cooler, drier form. Heating systems warm air using various techniques and send it throughout your home in different ways depending on the type of system you choose.

HEAT PUMP

Heat pumps are among the most popular choices for homeowners. These offer a complete system of heating and cooling through your existing ductwork and utilize your existing furnace as a backup. In warmer months, heat pumps draw heat out of your home and, in contrast, they pull the heat from the outside air and bring it inside your home during cooler months.
